Is Prispej.sk free?
Yes. Registering and adding a request are free, and you can have up to 3 active requests at once for free. The only thing ever paid for is advertising (boosting a request or a company banner), never donations.
Where does the money I send go?
Straight to the author of the request, to their own account via a QR code in a banking app, PayPal or Revolut. Prispej.sk never receives, holds or forwards the money and takes no commission.
Who can add a request?
Anyone aged 18 or over who creates an account, confirms their e-mail and verifies their phone number by SMS. One number = one account, so we know there is a real person behind every request.
How do I know a request is not a scam?
Every author is verified by SMS and has confirmed the request as true. Every request has a Report button and we review reports within 2 working days. Even so, you send a gift at your own risk, just like when you help a person on the street.
Does Slovak Act No. 162/2014 Coll. apply to Prispej.sk?
No. Prispej.sk is a noticeboard of personal requests. Every request is a private gift to one person, not a gift for a public-benefit purpose, so that act does not apply to it.
Do I have to pay tax on a gift?
Gifts between private individuals are usually not taxed in Slovakia (the Income Tax Act excludes them from taxation). For larger amounts, ask an accountant. Prispej.sk is not a tax adviser.
How long is a request published?
A request is active for 60 days, then it hides itself. The author can extend it with one click. The author updates the amount raised themselves.
What is boosting and how much does it cost?
A boosted request stays at the top of its category and the home page for 7 days with the TOP label. It is advertising of the request that the author buys themselves. Prices are on the Advertising page.
